Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and later be showing you how to install this etrailer soft roll-up tonneau cover on the back of our 2023 Ford F-150. Adding a tonneau cover to your F-150 is gonna be a great addition because it's gonna add a little bit of bed protection from things like the elements, it's gonna keep your stuff out of sight, it's gonna help a little bit with fuel economy at those higher highway speeds, and just generally, I think it adds a nice look to the truck. Now when it comes to tonneau cover options, you can separate them into two main categories, hard covers and soft covers. While the soft covers are not gonna provide as much protection for your bed, anyone can come through with a knife and cut through it and get to the stuff inside, if they're determined enough, it will still do those basic functions of keeping your stuff out of sight and out of mind. But more importantly, I think just offering that general weather protection, keeping rain and the elements from just totally barraging down on your stuff and keeping the bed covered up nice and neat. more

Having our tonneau cover on the back of your truck is gonna allow you to get better fuel economy and less wind drag, so it'll help your, you know, gas go a little bit further along. If you're looking for something that's gonna give you higher security, it's a okay option. Nonetheless, anytime you have a fabric, you can cut through it, so that would be a drawback to it. However, it's super lightweight with the aluminum frame where it's easy for one person to remove it and take it off as needed. Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover Installation - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Pace Edwards Switchblade Hard Tonneau Cover on our 2020 Ford F-150. This is going to be a canister-style hard tonneau cover, and what that means is once we pinch these levers together to unlock it, it's going to slide along these tracks, back into the canister at the front of the bed. Now, this style of cover is really nice because everything's contained here. It doesn't stuck up very high above the bed rails, if at all, so we're not blocking our back window like we might with a roll-up style or with a trifold style where it'll fully block that back window when it's fully open. And whenever we're ready to use it, we can just grab the pull cord and pull it out, covering the bed very easily. more

Now, for me, I really like the hard tonneau covers a bit better because I think they're a bit more functional. They've got the added layer of security, because a soft tonneau cover, anyone can come up and cut it open and get inside your bed. This one, it's going to be 5/8 of an inch thick, have aluminum underneath, so you've got that solid metal to keep people out. And then this fiberglass top, that's actually gonna stay a bit cooler than aluminum when it's out in the heat and just give you better protection for your truck. more

And today we have a 2019 Ford F350, and we're going to take a look at and show you guys how to install the RetraxPRO MX hard tonneau cover. Now this is a hard roll up style cover into a canister at the bulkhead of your truck bed. And this is just going to be a really great option to help deter theft, help keep the elements out of your truck bed such as water, debris, anything like that.Now with this Retrax cover, what I really like about it is that it's kind of a hybrid between those hard panel fold-up covers that you see, those tri-folds that fold up to the rear view glass of your truck. However, with that one you can see that it's either going to take up space right here on your truck bed, take up about a third or a quarter of that truck bed space. Or in some cases there are some hard covers that can fold up to the rear glass of your truck. more

Today, we have a RetraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover and we're going to be installing it on our 2018 Ford F-150.Now, what I like about this tonneau cover, it's going to be best of both worlds. It's going to be a rolling tonneau cover, so you're going to be able to store it up at the front of your bed without having to fold anything up against your glass. And it's going to be very hard, rigid tonneau cover, so just you know, everything inside is going to be safe from the elements and from theft.The tonneau cover is going to feature a locking latch, which is going to be underneath our rubber cover here. When locked is going to keep all the contents of your bed safe. You're going to want to lock your tailgate too, in order to keep it a hundred percent safe. more

Today on our 2004 Ford F-350, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Truxedo Deuce 2 Soft Roll Up Tonneau Cover.So here's what our tonneau cover looks like once we have it installed. It's got that low profile, sleek design like most roll up covers do. But what's really gonna set this one apart is the fact that we're gonna be able to gain access to the front of our bed without having to roll the entire cover up. We'll flip this switch, we can lift up and fold this entire section so we can gain access to all our cargo at the front. Today, on our 2014 Ford F-150, we're going to be installing the Bestop EZFold Folding Tonneau Cover. Now, this cover will protect the inside of your bed as well as any contents that may be inside it from all the weather and elements that we see. Also with our tailgate closed and locked, it does offer a little bit of extra security for the contents inside of your bed.Now, the cover's made out of a textured vinyl, and underneath that vinyl there's arched bows that help direct any water off the cover and away from your truck. Now I'll go ahead and show you how the cover rolls up so we can get access to our bed.Just drop the tailgate, and on the rear clamp here go ahead, release your level, and the cover just simply folds back.
